Practice areaVisas, residency, and the paperwork that decides whether you can stay. Someone who deals directly with the Spanish authorities so you do not have to.
Whether you are applying for the first time, renewing, or trying to fix a problem the system created.
The NIE (Número de Identificación de Extranjero) is a tax identification number, needed for almost everything in Spain, from opening a bank account to buying property. The TIE (Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero) is the physical residency card that proves your legal status to live in Spain. You can hold an NIE without residency, but residency always comes with a TIE.
Arraigo is a route to residency for people already living in Spain, based on roots already put down here. Arraigo social requires proof of at least two years' residence and a job offer or family ties. Arraigo laboral requires proof of an existing working relationship. Arraigo familiar applies to parents of a Spanish minor or spouses of Spanish nationals. We assess which route, if any, fits your situation before filing anything.
Yes. A power of attorney, signed in front of a notary or at a Spanish consulate, lets us handle your application, collect documents, and complete formalities on your behalf. This is common for clients abroad who need an NIE or need to appoint us before their first visit.
Often, yes. Denials frequently come down to missing documentation, a technical error, or a misapplication of the criteria. We review the denial letter, identify the actual reason, and where there are grounds, file an appeal within the legal deadline, which is usually short.
It depends on the route. Citizenship by residency generally requires 10 years of legal residence (2 years for nationals of Ibero-American countries, the Philippines, Andorra, Equatorial Guinea, or Portugal, and for Sephardic Jews). Processing time on top of the residency requirement can currently take a year or more, and we manage the paperwork so nothing gets held up unnecessarily.
Of over 20 lawyers I contacted, the fastest to respond.
Out of over 20 English-speaking lawyers I contacted in Spain, this was the fastest to respond, and one of the few who actually replied. I turned to this firm after our previous lawyer was unable to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct, something that had taken months with no result. This firm resolved the issue within days.
