If you need a foreign document to be legally valid in Spain, a normal translation will not be enough. You will need what is called a "Traductor Jurado", known in English as a Sworn Translator or Certified Translator.
A Sworn Translator is accredited to give legal validity to the translation of a document, for example when it needs to be presented before a Spanish court. They are authorized by Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and their signature and official seal authenticate the translated content as a true and faithful version of the original.
